When D. H. Lawrence saw the mural that Diego Rivera was doing in Mexico, he said: “Bah, imitations of Gauguin” (cited in The Mexican Mural Renaissance 1920-1925 by Jean Charlot, 161). Michael Haneke
I watched Le Temps du loup (Time of the Wolf) a few weeks ago. It is the second film by Michael Haneke that I have seen (first one was The White Ribbon), and I am starting to think he is one of my favourite film directors. Have a lot more to watch in the next months.
